How to Access Your BlueCross BlueShield Insurance Online | eHow
As a Blue Cross Blue Shield member, you have options for accessing your account and plan information. In today’s busy world, it is not always convenient to call in to make payments, order replacement cards or request documents. Blue Cross Blue Shield makes these tasks easy and available 24 hours a day with online access to your plan.
Locate your Blue Cross Blue Shield member card.
Navigate to the Blue Cross Blue Shield website at bcbs.com and click the “Already a Member” tab.
Enter the first three letters of your Blue Cross Blue Shield company. There are multiple companies within the Blue Cross Blue Shield family, such as Anthem, Highmark and Premera. This will redirect you to the company page you need to access your account.
Register for an account and log in. If this is the first time accessing your account online, click the “Register” button. You’ll enter information about yourself and your membership, such as your plan number, and create a user name and password. After you have this information, log in to your account.
Review plan information and online services. Once you’ve logged in to your account, you can access plan documents and insurance cards, as well as make payments, make changes to your plan and file claims.
